Babylon's Peak, Busy Bee Chenin Blanc / Roussane 2021

Young, light and delicious! This wine comes from Swartland, a very famous Chenin Blanc “hot spot” in South Africa.

Composed of 95% Chenin Blanc and 5% Roussanne, this is a lovely wine.

“Busy Bee” wines are a reference to the bee, an important insect for preserving nature. Through pollination, bees attract important insects that protect vineyards from predators and pests. In addition, pollination helps to renew nitrogen in the air, invigorating the environment as a whole.

Visual: Light golden yellow with greenish reflections.

Smell: Exuberant personality with notes of honey, sweet ripe fruits and a green touch reminiscent of lemongrass.

Palate: Fresh and fruity, with nuances of pear, apricot, green apple and citrus fruits. There is also a light note of almonds. Vivid acidity and good persistence.

Harmonization: Enjoy it as an aperitif or pair it with ham, fresh cheeses (ricotta, burrata), cheese fondue, seafood, shrimp, poultry, Asian cuisine and chicken curry.
