Leda Pucci, the matriarch of the Bartali family, had a great influence on the creation of the winery. From a very young age, she worked as a postwoman , delivering letters in rural areas. After marrying Alberto Bartali, her husband joined her in the postal business and they opened their own agency. In addition to letters, they expanded their range of deliveries to include olive oil, wine, onions and potatoes. This delivery service really took off at the end of World War II, so much so that the couple decided to leave the post office to dedicate all their efforts to selling wine!

This Chianti DOCG is made up of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo. It is a light, harmonious wine with an impeccable balance between fruit and acidity.

Smell: Fine and aromatic with notes of fresh fruits, such as blackberry, currant and cherry.

Palate: Harmonious, full-bodied and very elegant.

Harmonization: Various cheeses (Swiss, Emmenthal, Parmesan), white meats, red meats, bistecca alla fiorentina , pasta bolognese and pizzas.

Passion and affection for Tuscany passes through generations

Founded in the heart of the Chianti region, on the slopes of the hill where the town of Monteriggioni is located, Casa Vinícola Bartali combines tradition and modernity

Built for strategic and military purposes on one of the hills in the province of Siena in the 13th century, Monteriggioni is an attractive village 55 kilometers from Florence that has remained virtually intact and protected by its walls. In this medieval setting, in the heart of the Chianti region, Alberto Bartali and his wife, Leda Pucci, founded the Bartali Winery in 1927.

Over time, with the entry of their son Rivo into the business, the company took on a more important role in the wine market, expanding its work capacity and its commitment to quality production. The passion and attachment to the land of Tuscany were also passed on to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the founding couple, consolidating the family tradition.

Associated with the Chianti Wine Consortium and the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium, Casa Vinícola Bartali has been expanding its know-how and technology year after year, while always maintaining its commitment to producing superior wines. Today, the fruits of this passion that has been passed down through generations are exported to all continents and shared with the most diverse cultures.

The company has a capacity of 18,000 hectoliters of wine and the ability to process different products with great precision and speed. Guaranteed by a modern and rational bottling line, the annual potential is over 2.5 million bottles in various formats.

Also located in the charming central region of Italy, the Campinoti and Villa Casone agricultural estates are part of the Bartali family business and total more than 160 hectares of land where vines and olive trees are cultivated.

Today, it is one of the most famous and prolific wine-producing regions in Europe. Its vineyards produce a variety of internationally recognized wines in various styles, such as Brunello di Montalcino and Chianti. The Sangiovese grape, used to produce these wines, is the most widely cultivated variety in Italy and has become synonymous with red wines in Tuscany.
