The Chardonnay grape has many dimensions and the intention behind this wine is to achieve a multifaceted expression of this fruit. This Chardonnay has the vibrancy and vivacity of the fruit from the coastal vineyards of California.

Visual: Linen in color with a vibrant touch of green.

Smell: Bright fruit takes the lead with notes of pear, green apple and lemon, underscored by a delicate floral aroma. Elements of aging in toasted barrels are expressed as biscuit and dulce de leche.

Palate: It’s full and warm on the entry with floral accents, tangy lemon curd and notes of crème brulee. The mid-palate displays the smoothness of melon, the high acidity of juicy pineapple and the richness of honey. On the finish, the French oak aging reveals itself with notes of caramel, meringue and richness of puff pastry.

Harmonization: Soft and semi-soft cheeses (brie, buffalo, goat, camembert), quiches, seasoned poultry, salmon, shellfish, pasta with creamy sauce, four-cheese pizza.

Delicious Cannonballs

Sharing a splash in every glass is a mission that the wine company Share a Splash takes very seriously and whose flagship brand is the Cannonball brand.

On a delicious mission to share a splash in every glass around the world, Share a Splash Wine Company, based in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, has already reached 47 markets in the United States and 30 internationally. Cannonball, Angels & Cowboys, High Dive and Astrolabe are the famous brands in its portfolio.

It all started in 2006 with passion, determination and the goal of producing one of the best wines under $20. Founder Yoav Gilat’s entrepreneurial vision and network of relationships, combined with co-founder Dennis Hills’ deep winemaking knowledge and experience, resulted in Cannonball Cabernet, the company’s flagship product to this day.

In 2010, when the first Cannonball launched already had a solid reputation in the market, consumers and retailers asked for more and the varietal range was expanded with Chardonnay, followed by Merlot and then Sauvignon Blanc. Its award-winning label design, in which the character, with his legs folded and wrapped in his arms, jumps into the water, symbolizes the free and uninhibited spirit that characterizes the products.

New Dives Also under the Sonoma County name, the Angels & Cowboys brand was created in 2014, consisting of wines produced from a blend of different grape varieties. In the same year, the company delved into the world of fine wines from Napa Valley with the creation of the High Dive brand.

But Share a Splash is expanding beyond the Northern California appellations to cross continents, selling New Zealand’s Astrolabe wines. The winery, located in Grovetown in the Wairau Valley in the Marlborough region, is owned by winemaker Simon Waghorn and his wife, Jane. The partnership between the two companies began in 2012.

California

United States

Located on the west coast of the United States and bathed by the Pacific Ocean, the State of California is among the four largest wine-producing areas in the world, behind only France, Italy and Spain. It is also responsible for 90% of domestic production. The Mediterranean climate is largely responsible for the quality of its wines, since the presence of strong winds, sporadic sunlight and the precise location of rainfall guarantee the ideal conditions for growing grapes.
