Neagra & Syrah Feteasca Promise
Organoleptic Characteristics and Harmonization
Domeniile Sahateni was founded in 2003 by Aurelia Visinescu and her partner Steve Caceno. Passionate about nature, Aurélia chose to study oenology and dreamed of having her own winery. It didn't take long for her dream to come true and today, Domeniile Sahateni has 82 hectares of vineyards and a modern winemaking process. This example is definitely the promise of the producer, whose motto is to honor the quality of his wine. It is a blend of the native Feteasca Neagra and the international Syrah, sourced from the winery's own vineyards. During the winemaking process, it was aged in Romanian oak barrels for 12 months, where it acquired complexity and elegance. When served, it reveals a bright ruby color with dense tears of good structure. The nose is marked by a range of red and black fruits, including cherries and plums, complemented by spices such as black pepper and cardamom. It is pleasant on the palate, with fine tannins and well-balanced acidity. It is a balanced wine that, in addition to the pronounced fruit, especially ripe plum, brings hints of chocolate and vanilla, certainly inherited from contact with wood. It has a spicy touch and an attractive finish. Pairing: The perfect wine to accompany meat-based dishes. Try it with carpaccio with mustard sauce, stuffed matambre, roast lamb and other game meats. Pasta with rich, rich sauces also pairs very well. Enjoy at 18°C in smooth, crystal-clear, large glasses. We recommend prior aeration in a decanter for 30 minutes. The wine is ready to drink, but can be enjoyed at its peak until the end of 2024.
