A classic Malbec from the boutique winery Caelum. Light and silky, it masterfully presents the nobility of red and black fruits.

Visual: Deep red wine with a ruby red color and violet reflections.

Smell: Aromas of red fruits and ripe plums.

Palate: In the mouth it is elegant, unctuous and fresh, with a long persistence.

Harmonization: Enjoy it with hard or semi-hard cheeses (Gouda, Gruyère, Maasdam), salami, rosti potatoes, poultry, sirloin, loin, lamb, barbecue, grilled meats and bacon pizza. And how about with a chorizo Argentine?

A winery with the Andes as a backdrop

Located in one of the most important wine-growing areas in Argentina, Bodega Caelum grows a variety of grapes in a stunning setting.

The inspiration for the name of Bodega Caelum comes from the stars. It is a small constellation that represents the tool with which sculptors create their works: the chisel. The work of these artists, done with their own hands, inspires the manual harvesting procedure, a practice valued by Caelum.

The property, located in the city of Luján de Cuyo, in the province of Mendoza, covers 60 hectares and is set against the backdrop of the Andes Mountains. Situated 1,000 meters above sea level in one of the most important wine-growing areas in Argentina, it has the ideal climate and soil for the development of various types of grapes, including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and the rare Fiano.

Native to southern Italy, the Fiano grape is rare in other parts of the world. Bodega Caelum, for example, is the only Argentine winery that grows this variety and produces wines with it, including a varietal. Aromatic and intense, labels with Fiano express rich textures and floral notes.

The cultivation of this grape follows Caelum's principle of seeking the highest quality while respecting the environment. Likewise, this family winery has followed this guideline since its first harvest, which took place in 2009. After several years of dedication to the production and sale of grapes to neighboring wineries, it decided to complete the vineyard cycle with the production of wines. Currently, the annual production is approximately 70,000 bottles.

Mendoza

Argentina

Mendoza is by far the largest wine-producing region in Argentina. Located on a high-altitude plateau near the Andes Mountains, the province is responsible for around 70% of the country’s annual wine production. Mendoza’s winemaking history is almost as old as Argentina itself – the first vines were planted in the 16th century, around the same time that Malbec was introduced to the region.
