Organoleptic Characteristics and Harmonization

That Moldova has a wine industry comparable to that of major Western countries is something that Brazilians have recently discovered. In the southwest of the country, close to the border with Romania and the Danube River delta, lies the Valul Lui Traian region (named after the so-called “Walls of Trajan,” the Byzantine Empire fortifications built in the Roman province of Moesia), one of the three designations of origin for Moldovan wine. Founded in 1977, the Imperial Vin group is one of the region’s leading producers, producing a wide range of wines. The Grape Angel line is the winery’s true calling card, and proves that it is possible to combine well-made wines with an affordable price and impeccable presentation, with a 3D label featuring an angel holding a bunch of grapes standing out. Grape Angel Premium Chardonnay & Feteasca Alba is a blend made from the international Chardonnay grape variety accompanied by an interesting variety of Romanian origin, Feteasca Alba, which is characterized by being an early grape variety, from which dry, aromatic wines are obtained, with tropical aromas and floral nuances, with aging potential, which stand out for their finesse and balance. The vineyards, located in the southwest of Moldova and on the banks of the Prut River, are located at the same latitude as the main wine-producing regions of the world, such as Bordeaux, Tuscany and Napa Valley. In the glass, it has a citrine yellow color with greenish tones. On the nose, aromas of tropical fruits such as peach, pear and citrus fruits such as lime stand out. In the mouth, it is harmonious, with fruity notes reminiscent of the same fruits felt previously and a mineral aftertaste. It should be served at a temperature of 10-12ºC, accompanied by fish dishes, seafood, salads with seasonal fruits or even cold snacks and appetizers, preferably using medium-sized Bordeaux glasses. The wine is ready to drink, but can be enjoyed, still at its peak, until the end of 2024.
