Antawara Reserva Carmenere
Organoleptic Characteristics and Harmonization
Behind a bottle of wine, there is always a story of struggle, glory, love, a life goal, an ideal. At the Antawara winery, located in the Maipo Valley, it is no different, as both the owners and their employees work with their hearts and passion in a 100% manual harvest, ensuring that the grapes reach the cellar without any damage. They are responsible for giving life to the wine, as, above all, they firmly believe in clean and environmentally friendly production. Antawara Reserva Carmenere is one of those wines that enchants as soon as it is served, as in addition to its beautiful presentation, it exudes delicious and extremely inviting aromas. After the winemaking process, the wine rested for 8 months in American oak barrels, which justifies such complexity and smoothness. In fact, the result is incredible. It has a clear and bright ruby color, almost purple. The nose is sensational, making us fall in love with the beautiful aromas of red and black fruits that appear in layers, without asking for permission, stirring our desire to drink. In the mouth, notes of cocoa prevail, giving way to cherries and herbaceous touches. You can taste green and black pepper along with mineral notes. It is full-bodied, with present but friendly tannins. It ends in a round wine, with great acidity and a long and persistent finish. Pairing: Perfect to accompany good dishes, especially those based on meat. Pene with calabresa sausage, dried meat rice, lamb rack and roast wild boar are great options. Enjoy at 18°C in smooth, crystal-clear “Bordeaux” glasses. Prior aeration is not mandatory, but if possible, let it rest for 25 minutes so that it opens up and shows itself even better. The wine is ready to drink, but can be enjoyed at its peak until the end of 2024.
